Damien is a gifted guitarist and teaches music on the island of Moorea near Tahiti. He was the neighbor of some friends of mine and when I found myself short of crew to sail from Moorea to Tahiti he came along. Sharing a passion for free diving and spearfishing, we kept in contact and when he got word that I had room for a Tuamotu trip he couldn’t resist and came to meet us there. When eventually he had to reluctantly leave, he took Celine along. After much deliberation he bought himself a 31ft sloop for a song and now lives on it.
